Location & Maps - Getting to Sooke
Sooke sits on southern Vancouver Island,
approximately kilometers from BC's capital city of Victoria.
The drive takes approximately 30-40 minutes, west of Victoria
on Hwy 14. If you are coming from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal,
just follow the Patricia Bay Hwy towards Victoria and turn
at the McKenzie Exit. This will take you to Hwy 1. Proceed
on Hwy 1 to the Sooke-Colwood Exit, take the exit, and just
follow Hwy 14.
The travel time from Vancouver to Sooke
is about 3.5 hours, by way of BC Ferries, sailing from Tsawwassen
to Swartz Bay, near Sidney, just north of Victoria.
Sooke is approximately 4.5 hours from Seattle,
depending on your method of travel. Car ferries sail to Victoria
from Anacortes, Washington, and the Victoria Clipper travels
from Seattle's waterfront to downtown Victoria. The Victoria
Clipper is a passenger-only ferry.
